Here she is. Picked it up in CO a few weeks ago. Pretty decent shape for a 74.

i'm still on with the full hate thing...

Pros: nic etop with the Meyer five window.
    Con: it's a long fender.
    Pros: It's clean, and straight
    Pros: Nice original dash pad
    Pros: Jeep on tail gate
Pros: It's still got the side mount tire carrier
Con: It's still got the side mount tire carrier

Hopefully it's got a T18, so we can amp up the dislikedness.

(JK, that really is a nice unit, well worthy of a full restore)

Wow. I wish my 74 was that nice when I got started. Looks like you are going to have a sweet project there.

Oooh. 258 and T18. Great combination - you'll like it. What's your axle ratio?

Great looking Jeep. Looks just like my 74. Wish I'd never sold mine.

    Tim,

I have no idea. I'm new to Jeeps and rebuilding. The PO said that other than oil changes and some brake work the Jeep was all original. I know just enough to be dangerous. I read a lot so I'm sure the knowledge will come in time.

The later CJ5, had longer front fenders, same fenders as a CJ7. Some folks like the shorter / early look, others may not even care.

The longer front end allowed the use of the straight six motors.

Pro: Its a long fender.... better steering and better brakes from the factory. And its debatable around here if it has a better motor.... :ducking:

Nice score on that one. You might want to re-think selling that hardtop.

I had it pretty much sold and the guy backed out. Glad he did because I would have regreted getting rid of it. The wife didn't want it gone either. She said it looks "cute" with the hardtop. :D
