I am getting ready to replace the body mounts on my 1974 CJ5. I did this for the first time 16 years ago. At that time, the vote was that the while the polyurethane mounts would be way more durable than rubber, they would be prone to "squeaking" when cold. I try to keep this jeep as quite as possible, so I went with the rubber. The rubber is now hard as a rock, and it is time for new mounts. Please let me know your thoughts on way or another.
    Thanks!

Not sure of a source for rubber ones unless you buy it in bulk and cut to fit. I used poly on mine and like it. It's more solid feeling but it feels a lot tighter than before.

When I do mine, which will be soon, I decided to go with rubber.

My thinking is that the softer rubber takes the beating so your crack happy sheetmetal and frame don't have to.
I feel it should also allow some flex between the older style thin flexy frame and the tub for more articulation out of this old narrow track suspension.

I read somewhere recently that 4WD has the rubber in cut to fit lengths of tube.
