I have a set of 3" Black Diamond springs that are for '76 and up CJ's. I purchased these for my '74 CJ-6 for the purpose of modernizing the leafs while getting some lift at the same time. Well, I got one out of two. It turns out that my CJ-6 already had a lift off the showroom floor (apparantly that was quite common back in the '70's). I've since swapped the CJ-6 over to 4.5" RE springs, and am now stuck with the BD springs.

    Now on to my question:

Can I use these springs on my '46 CJ-2A? Basically doing the same thing I did with the CJ-6, putting later model leafs on the jeep while utilizing the M.O.R.E. no-lift shackle reversal system, which supposedly adds 1" to the wheelbase.

I believe the spring width issues can be easily overcome. My biggest concern is the length of the springs and their relation to the spring pads where they mount to the axle. Am I going to end up with the axles in the wrong location?

Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!
