I vote for the MG, unless it's a Midget, because it won't fit.
    AC Cobra, anyone?

    Put it in the Jeep!

    SM420/465 with an S10 60* V6 bellhousing, it'd be sweet!

    Here is my 2cents worth.

If you want to keep the engine/trans as a package, put it in the MG.

If you are willing to put out the time and $$ to adapt the engine to a trans that will be Jeep friendly, then go for it, and sell the 5 speed.

Re: Here is my 2cents worth.

Not much to spend time and $ to adapt it. It's a normal GM 60* V6 bellhousing pattern, as I noted above, those bell housings will mate to a SM420. So yes, you're out a little time finding the bell housing and transmission, but really it's not as bad as you'd make it sound.

Sure, anything is easier if you just leave it the way it was I suppose.

How easy is it to put in the MG? For the Jeep since it's a fairly factory swap, that would be pretty straightforward and easy.

What's an MG??? That kinda sounds like one of those little English cars that are always broken down with unavailable parts.:D

Victoria British has just about any part you can think of for MG's.

    I know; I've been working on a customer's Midget for almost 20 years.

Its pretty easy both ways, they are a pretty common conversion for the MGs, thats originally why I bought it but man could you imagine 200 horses of fuel injected honey drippin power under the hood of a cj jeez I just cant decide, You know the mgs had the aluminum buick v8s in em for awhile I could slip my 225 into the mg behind the 5 speed that may be the idea to go with.

oh no the fun quotient is almost the same they are both one of those very rare vehicles that when you climb in and start em up a grin just crosses yer face. Just different terrafirma to run em on , down shift an mg into a corner and give er the gas woohoo.. just like a jeep in the mud...
