    Interesting. The article states that the Super Jeep package required the solid fixed tailgate panel and rear mounted spare, yet the Jeep they tested obviously has an opening tailgate and side mounted spare. The Renegades did come with the solid rear panel mandatory, which is an interesting difference.

    It also had power steering, which I didn't even think was available in 73. Must have been a very rare option.

    Oh no, power steering was first available 1n 1972. And it was a very popular option. I would guess that power outnumbered manual 2 to 1.
