    Ok,

I was looking at the 1971 jeep with the V6 and T18 transmission and had a couple of questions.

What transfer case would be used on this jeep, Dana 18 or a Dana 20. From the photo's I'm thinking is was a single stick Dana 18.

Also, should the emergnecy break be on the rear drive shaft? From the photos this looked alittle strange compaired to other CJ's I'm looked at.

I'm looking at making an offer and need a little more information on this unque CJ that will be a father/son restoration project.

    Thanks

I'm not totally sure but this sounds like a rare and very desirable combo. You get the V6 & T18 4-speed tranny without the expensive adapter.
And it's about the newest early CJ you can get.

I went and looked at the pics. I find it interesting that there are no markers on the front fenders. I thought they were in production before the model year '71 started.

    It is an intersting combo....

Has a marker on the drivers side rear. Fenders have indents, I figured it's likely the front markers were removed and/or replacement fenders were put on.
