I have replaced my carburetor with the original Rochester type. It seems the the previous owner had modified the linkage so it would fit his new, automatic choke carburetor. The Rochester I installed has a connection "ball" that connects to my modified linkage, but I can tell it is incorrect and strained. When the throttle pulls back it looks like the rotating part on the carburetor is going to tear off.
My brother in law (who posts here a lot) has the same jeep, so he sent me a photo of his linkage and there is a part on his carburetor that is not on mine. It looks like a cast brass piece that attaches to the carburetor and allows for a perfect connection from the throttle linkage. So, if you look at the picture below I need the brass piece that looks like a backward 7 that connects to the carburetor and to the linkage. Any ideas where I can get this? IMG_0100.jpg

You should post a WTB in the classified section. A lot of guys here have these sitting on their shelves.

I can move this thread for you.

Let me look in the box. I have a junk 2 jet that may still have this part on it. I'll try to look tomorrow.

(I'm Fred T's brother-in-law whose carb linkage is pictured above.) Fred, in case it's helpful in finding that part, here's a photo of the original carb tag showing the Rochester model number, 7026082:

I have this part. I recently pulled this carb off and replaced with Holley 4barrel.

Awesome! I'll see big I can figure out how to send you a private message. Do you have the choke cable clamp too?
