As I continue my collecting of parts I want to keep my eyes open for things I can use.

My Commando doesn't have a rear seat, and I'm wondering if any CJ seats would fit as they would be more common.

Heard of a coupe of guys using them. You'll have to fab up mounting brackets but that shouldn't be a big deal.

I found a "flip & fold" seat, from a later CJ, on Ebay. It was easy to install in my 71, and it is very handy, to occasionally have the extra room.

I have a fold down seat from bestop. I'm thinking it was for a cj that the PO had fit in. I didn't see my seat on their site so must be an older style.

CJ, YJ, TJ, but they will be too tall with the factory mounts. I originally put a CJ seat in mine, removed the mounts and used a piece of 1" square tube in the front, nothing but a piece of 1/4" rubber in the back. Recently picked up a set of YJ seats, and cut the front flip mounts down over an inch, and it has adjustable legs in the back, turned all the way in. As my kids grow I'm going to have to redo the roll bar, it's too close for my liking, but I've got a few years left. The roll bar I had made was to accomodate the hardtop, now that I won't be using the hard top I could raise the bar a couple of inches.

Yes, anyone over 4'6" will have their head sticking out over the roll bar with the factory flip and fold mounts. That's the problem I'm currently having. Good advice on the square tubing idea!:)

What flavor of seat color are you looking for?

I have a complete bench seat set (60/40 frt bench and rear folder) in 'Butterscotch' available. Its in great shape, with all the brackets IIRC.

Not really looking for anything right now, the build is still down the road a ways, just seeing what my options are if something pops up locally.
