Looking through the local paper this morning and noticed an ad for a "1952 Jeep CJ2A. $2300". Am I missing something here? Isn't the '52 a CJ3A? :?

You are correct. If it is indeed a '52 2A, that would be very rare. Worth millions of $$$$$. :) :D

Get the serial number. Here is a list of the range by years. From the CJ2A page

What I was told was a 56 civilian flatfender turned out to be a 41 MB.
You never know so make the call.

I agree with what Kodiak12060 says. These things sometimes are titled in the year title application is made, especially the WWII and other military jeeps.

I would have to agree, I bought my advertised "1946" Willys sight unseen and it turned out to be a 1941 Slat Grill. Take the time to go see for yourself you might be glad you did.

You all made some good points. I just assumed it was a 3A, but it could be something completely different and the title says it's a '52 CJ2A. I might have to go check this out, just to see what it is. It isn't that far from me. I'll let you folks know what I find.
