    R) I did a search for locking gas caps and nothing came up. I probably didn't word it right or somethin'.

On the underseat models, is there anyway of fixing up a lock to keep the cap on and the gas in? Or are there locking ones available? (haven't found any yet, but still looking!) Any ideas or designs would be muchly appreciated! :) :hurrican:

Theres been a few like this showing up on EBay lately, heres another style.

Other than that I'd think it should be fairly easy to fab a locking cover to fit the body filler opening, a sorta D-shaped piece of metal (diamond plate or expanded mesh would look Kewl :)), a short section of piano hinge, a drawer lock, a few spot welds & you're done ;).

Does the '58 have the larger, military style neck and cap on the tank?:?
The CJ2A I had in the early '70's used the big cap, my '60 has the smaller one.:AMC: :JEEP:

I had a Stant locking cap on my side tank back in '73, and it leaked ... badly.

There's a Stant catalog online but I get a database error when I try to access it. Maybe your FLAPS could help.

Nope, CJ5 fillers were never as big as the military ones.
