    I've been digging through Pirate to find you a local guy's Toyota with a sorta experimental rear spring setup. I finally found it, and it has been ruined by Photobucket. He was running 12" shackles to above-the-frame like you're suggesting. Pics are gone, but you can still imagine...

    It’s the thought that counts. I’m gonna do it. If it doesn’t work I’ll revert to going through the frame.

    I should have a complete drivetrain by next week and I’ll buy the cage materials and start on that. Tax return was good this year :beer:

    FYI, all the little stuff I've done on mine so far, I have 2 1/2' left of my first 23' section. It disappears quickly.

    Thanks for the heads up. I'm still doing what we talked about. I was going to buy 42 ft first but now I'm thinking I'll need at minimum 63 ft for the main parts of the cage.
    I've decided it'd be easier if everything was built around the cage instead of having to relocate parts and pieces if they interfered with it.
