It’s the thought that counts. I’m gonna do it. If it doesn’t work I’ll revert to going through the frame.

I should have a complete drivetrain by next week and I’ll buy the cage materials and start on that. Tax return was good this year

FYI, all the little stuff I've done on mine so far, I have 2 1/2' left of my first 23' section. It disappears quickly.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm still doing what we talked about. I was going to buy 42 ft first but now I'm thinking I'll need at minimum 63 ft for the main parts of the cage.
I've decided it'd be easier if everything was built around the cage instead of having to relocate parts and pieces if they interfered with it.

I've had a few thoughts about how to make these perches work. Grind down the right side of the perch until it's level came to mind. Anyhow there's a long list of things to do but I have to get it out of the garage. I have to pick up the cage material and hope to have something bent up soon.

If you sit the spring perch on the axle tube and slide it over to the cast housing. Trace it with a sharpie and carefully approach your line with a grinder. Lots of test fitting.

I'd cut at the pink and re-weld at the blue. That way you avoid welding on the cast housing.

Test fit the shocks and there is an interference fit with the brake shields and there is a small ubolt/knuckle stop issue that needs to be dealt with. Need to start on some Kustom spring plates.
Well my lack of work on the B kinda paid off. I made the president's list spring semester (4.0 gpa) and dean's list this fall (3.9 gpa). Only community college so hold your applause.

Congrats. Doesn’t matter the institution, it is all higher learning and worthy of applause.

    That's awesome!

My daughter's are in a program called Running Start. They're "high school" students who finish their last two years at the local Community College with an AA degree. Both of them have made the Dean's List and Presidents List every report. I know how hard they work for it, don't sell yourself short.

PS - My wife homeschooled our kids...They certainly don't get their smarts from me.

Finally picked my d25, d44, roll bar, and a fresh t90/d18 (that I hope not to use).
Now I can start on the cage :):sneak:
    Interesting "farm" patch.

Man handled the tub back onto the frame so I could start figuring out the cage. I think it's time I bought a MIG and C25 so I can properly repair some of the tub. I took the junk I screwed down in the bed out. I stripped the old water heater skin off and used it for patch material...

And here we are. Busted fenders, bent up hood and all the rust one could want. Now to figure out what I need to keep the ball rolling :study:

Set a T90 in the bed and it turned into this...

Sadly, it appears to be a WT D30.
And I also have a bent CJ spring. I needed the spring eyes off it...
It's all coming together smoothly :twist:

Think it'll fit between the frame rails:D
Might need some rear springs for the front now :study:

I’ll be bringing the B back home and I still haven’t decided if I want to run the WT D30 or fix one of the D25’s I have.. I’m tired of kicking the tires around to steer so I’ve been thinking about all the different varieties of steering setups and I’m no closer to figuring out what I want to do :study::crazy:

    D30! Shouldn't even be a question!
Do you have a rear to match? Or planning on using spacers?
