    Alright,
I received the other clutch disc, I will post up some pictures and measurements after work.

    For the pressure plate,
I might have messed that up, how much should the fingers be raised? Is there a measurement I can take?
I can just torque down until i hit that, instead of just guessing the correct torque value.

    Alright,
here is a comparison of the two disks,

    The Center Force one:
spline hub (tranny side) : .35"
    spline hub(flywheel side): .25"
    disc thickness(friction material): .33"

    The Sachs one:
Spline hub (tranny side): .34" this is not a true measure, because I shortened the hub down a bit before measuring.
    spline hub (flywheel side): .29"
    disc thickness: .35"

    Below are the photos

    Hey,
    I have been swamped lately,
I put the new clutch disc in, and torqued the PP down to 25lbs
    The fingers point out slightly

I also (stupidly) put a different throwout bearing in, this one was longer, and did not adjust the pivot down,
So the bearing is pushed up against the fingers, and is constantly turning. I will have to deal with this later.

    But for the functionality,
It still grinds going into first, but not as bad.
It will go into 2nd, if I double clutch it.

After I put it into first I did a little experiment:
I held down the clutch pedal and looked at the tires, they were spinning.
I then pushed the brake in, while still holding the clutch, the wheels stopped spinning and I did not notice the motor bogging down at all.
I kept it in the position for awhile, and the motor noise did not change,
I then gently let the clutch out, while still holding the brake,
When the clutch pedal got to the engagement point, I noticed an immediate bog of of the motor.

This seems to indicate that the clutch is just barely dragging, or the pilot bearing is a little bit tight.
    Does that seem right?

I was going to try and drive it around a little bit, and see if the condition improves, good idea or no?
I just have to figure out why my transfercase(d18) is not going into 2wd, it must be bound or something

That sounds like your working right to me. Mine always seem to drag a touch when they are first installed.

    WWOOOOOOTTT

After testing it again, I am now working properly.

Took it for a test drive and everything :)

The thing that did it was the new clutch disc,
In my opinion, you have to use the centerforce 384180 Clutch Disc.

Thank you all for the help!

Great news! Anxious hear your opinion of the transmission's performance in your JEEP. In addition to the clutch disc, could you put together a final and complete list of the parts you used and their part numbers? That would be awesome. Thanks.

    Alright,

    the setup:

    Engine:
Dauntless buick v6 with the heavy flywheel and the BOP v8 bellhousing,
This bellhousing was modified to mate to the transmission.

    Transmission:
    Ford T-18
The bearing retainer was shortened to accommodate the clutch disk spline hub.
it was also turned down so that it would work with the Buick throwout bearing,
    As per these instructions:
    http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/ford_to_gm.htm

The Ball Pivot stud is an adjustable ball pivot for the BOP bellhousing,
    PN: Lakewood 15501

The throwout bearing is a standard Buick one.
PN: (I will have to add this when i get home)

The Clutch Fork is a standard Buick one.
PN: (I will have to add this)

    The Pressure Plate:
I torqued it down to 25lbs
    PN: Sachs BBC1874

    The Clutch Disk:
I shortened the transmission side of the spline hub by about .02" but I dont think this was necessary.
    PN: Centerforce 384180

    The Clutch Linkage is:
The chain control kit from advanced adapters.
    http://www.advanceadapters.com/products/jeep-1941-71-chain-clutch-control-assembly/

    The Pilot Bushing is:
I had this bored out to fit the ford transmission.
    PN: NATIONAL Part # PB656HD

My Gearing is now suuper low haha.
I dont quite know how fast I am going in each gear, because my speedo stopped working for some reason.
First gear is 6.32 going to my axles, which are 5.38.
So its very hard not to chirp the tires.
Im using 2nd gear as first, and 3rd as second.
I might have to get an overdrive to keep my RPMs down, buy we will see.

The transmission is also kind of loud,
    It makes a highpitched whine,
    Is that normal?

    Thanks everyone!
Let me know if you want any more info.
    -Eric

Can't say enough good about the Ford T18. I'm also running 5.38 gears. The tranny is definitely bulletproof. The more you drive it the more you'll like it. Congrats!
