We are often asked about the value of a Jeep. Maybe it is someone wanting to sell their current Jeep, or maybe they are going to look at a potential project and want to have an idea of what to offer. This question is difficult to answer, at best. In an attempt to provide better service to the members, we have created the “guidelines” below to get you an idea of what the Jeep in question might be worth.

In your post, be sure to include: year, drivetrain, driveability, and presence of rust. Also include your location, as this plays a major role in determining value. There are many other “accessories” that will increase the price as well. These include – a winch, top (soft or hard), seats, originality, and modifications (steering, brakes, suspension).

As the old cliché goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case, it could mean an extra $1,000 in your pocket either from the sale, or from offering a lower price at purchase. If there’s any way possible to post a photo of the Jeep in question, it will increase the accuracy of our responses by ten fold. Otherwise, we're just venturing a guess, and you're likely to get a bunch of responses for $7. (inside joke :D)

It probably goes without saying, but I’ll mention it anyway… Our responses will be *estimates* only. We have no way of determining “value” down to the dollar. Market structure changes like the seasons (pun intended), so you’ll likely get a ‘range’ of price (i.e. $2500 - $3000).
