    My book says 5351421 for 8.182-1 in 1974.

    Take note of the length. I ordered one a few months ago and it was way too long. I ended up installing the old jenky one again.

    I as well got one that was too long, but just looped it and it is working fine

    Did the cable for the 72 work well for you? My A1 has the same parking brake that was added by a PO when they swapped in the 11 inch drums. Working on getting it functional again since I’m rebuilding the brakes. The pedal assembly is pretty rusted, but salvageable. It’s missing the release cable however, and I need to find a replacement.

    I used that cable on my '74. It is longer than the original so you have to loop it. Still works fine.

    Thanks, that’s what I was wondering. My setup definitely isn’t original, but it was put in very close to how it would have appeared in an intermediate, and that replacement cable looks incredibly long to fit.
