1972 Cj 304 V8 Emissions Baby

Where does one, or does anyone have knowledge of the emissions on my 1972 cj5 V8, What was the Air Guard system on the 1972, Any help would be greatly appreciated

This info is in the TSM. You need a copy of the TSM. You can buy it from RockAuto for about $25 on CD.

Air Guard is air injection, aka the air pump. In 1972, all 304s with manual transmission had it. What else do you want to know?

 

That will tell you about Air Guard, but the required systems are different for 1972. Every year and model is different in that era. You need the TSM for 1972.
