Hello there , I am looking for and can't find any measurements for location and the proper position of the rear marker light . Also I am using a 68 tub that doesn't have the recess for it . So i want to make my own recess with some dies I will make . Is anyone willing to give me some measurements of theirs? Depth , inner minor ID and outer major ID. I guess should specify that this is the rectangular reccess on the drivers side . So i can make a male and female die.
    thanks in advance . GORD

Some Jeeps came with the recess on both sides. You'd need to find someone with a '72-75 CJ-5 that came from the factory with the solid back panel. So it could be a '72-75 Renegade, or a '73-75 with the optional solid back panel. Any Jeep with a tailgate from that era came with the elusive round clearance light in the middle of the side mounted spare tire mount. But they'd still have the recess on the right, and it should be symmetric with the one on the left.

Ok, now that I'm back from Thanksgiving holiday, you still need info?

I can snap a few pics of the left side indent with a ruler, once I'm home in the daylight and it's not raining.
