This thread got me to wondering what my number was. Number on the tag is 8322XXX14. Title is 1964. Tag is Willys Based on a previous post it is a CJ5A. Tuxedo Park. Being new to the Jeep world I do not know what the difference is between a CJ5 & CJ5A

The Tuxedo Park is a bit fancier version of the 5. Column shift, chrome latches, hinges, bumper, tag light, plus a few other things I believe.

Not to mention the paint job was an off-pink color called cerelian or something like that.

I think you may be confusing Surrey or Gala with a Tuxedo Park.

The Tuxedo Park did not come in Coral Mist or Cerulean Blue.

If the 8322 XXX14 above is a 1964 then it is lower than 11790.

That Salmon pink color on the jeep shown there is the actual out-the-door color on some of the Tuxedo Park models

That Jeep (in the "this" picture) "was" a pretty rare '62/'63 Tuxedo Park Mklll in the original Indian Ceramic, paint code 332. That is the only color that they came in as it was a pretty special model. That is probably one that should have remained in stock form due to the rarity. There were far fewer of these made than the Mk lV Tuxedo Parks that came after this one.

Thank You. Indian Ceramic. That does answer my question.

Admittedly the Omaha orange reference was from the DJ6A production records and I thought maybe they used it on CJ5A also.
I now believe I was incorrect in that assumption.

Actually I'm finding it difficult to find CJ5A Tuxedo Park records older than 1964...

The 1964 and newer Tuxedo Park Mk lV models (CJ5-A/CJ6-A) were a separate model designated by the "8322/8422" prefix. The earlier version is the "Mk lll" that I believe was only painted Indian Ceramic and had the steering wheel painted body color too. I have never heard of a CJ6 version in Indian Ceramic. These earlier versions used the same VIN prefix as the regular CJ5 "universal", so they are difficult to distinguish once all the original unique parts are swapped/removed.
I have never been able to determine the number of early models built, but they are much more rare than the Mk lV that came in at least 5 body colors through the years 1964 up to about 1967.
