Patience.... This isn't the dyno slip thread

It's home in my garage... been tinkering a bit this afternoon... will be able to post up some details and pictures later or tomorrow..

    Much better condition that anticipated..

Fairly uneventful extraction yesterday with the FC...
I might be getting wiser as I age, and decided hiring a wrecker wouldn't be the worst idea instead of struggling with jacks and my trailer for hours..
Ive pulled too many Jeeps from fields and barns to have learned my lesson the hard way..

was a very tight squeeze in an even tighter driveway... but the Jeep drove in, so it was for certain coming out..
dropped off right in the recently cleaned "shop bay" of my garage..

Virtually unheard of to find one in that amazing condition. Nothing attracts more attention then an FC. Hopefully you are a people person as everywhere you drive one you have to talk to people about them.

Oh Boy is that nice. If the interior is as nice as the exterior I am not sure I would restore it. An Original may be a better value than an new restoration.

    Great find.

Just looked at the interior pics on photobucket. That is a rare find in that condition.

    Got it running yesterday.....
Swapped out the old distrib for a new electronic one, new plugs and wires. Took a few tries with timing and clearing the fuel lines...
Clutch and transmission function well, amazing how bad old fuel smells..
Brakes need some attention next, currently no pedal.
Interior is great and original.. no plans to butcher this...

I'm so glad I'm over wanting one of these (at least that's what I keep telling myself every morning) otherwise I'd be very jealous. ;)

    Nice FC. (y)

I put a dual pot master on the last 150 I had. Just cut the bracket off and used a 69 bracket from a CJ5 welded on to it.

That 170 looks to be in great shape. I passed up one up in Miami two years ago, and kinda regret not bringing it home-all original down to the paint, and only a spot of rest on the roof gutter. Oh well!
I've still got two project 150's, so maybe I'll get one finished to enjoy.
I'm sure you'll have fun with this one.

    Brake lines almost done...

Forgot how fun it it to pull drum/hub combinations...
regretting not ordering new, but it will be roadworthy and pass NYS inspection.

Steering/suspension need attention if I'm really going to use this..
