Help me out here guys. A friend of mine is looking at this. $1500.00, no title.

    Is this a repro tub?

Did any jeep not have a tailgate?

Does it seem worth the $?

Yes worth the money, especially with that pto, and yes repro tub.

Edit: just saw the no title issue, that makes things rough, but from a parts standpoint it's still not too bad. I'd try to get it in the 500-1000 range since no title

He has a good title and a frame with running gear.. just a horrible body. He's thinking this would be cheaper and better route than buying a repro new.

If bought in the $500-1000 range he could take the tub and part the rest and get most if not all of his money back

Windshield is not cj. MB or GPW style. Tub has no drain holes and no tailgate. Gas tank is cj5 I think. Grill is 1946. No title it's a 500 buck part pile

That body looks to me like it has issues. I'm not sure if it's repro or has just had a bunch of metal put on it. To me the PTO parts are the only real value there.

I just noticed the width of the top of the body edges, much wider than normal. Your friend might as well do that to what he already has.

Thats a fiberglass tub, and probably the front fenders too. Check out the fit of the rear wheel tubs to the inside tailgate panel. It looks home-made with that gap. That electric fuel pump on the inner front fender isn't a good location to push fuel.

I assumed that it was known to be steel, but fiberglass makes sense. That explains the whole body not looking right and the fitment you mention. I guess some people don't pay attention to instructions about electric fuel pumps.
