What Jeep Is My Trans/transfer Out Of?

Bought a '66 CJ5 and it came with an extra dauntless, tranny and transfer case. The tranny is a T14 with the factory cast iron adapter to the Buick bell housing and the transfer is D20. What Jeep would have this come out of? Dana 20 on a tranny that fits the Buick has me confused??

 

I'm not sure if there is or is not a factory combo of that, but are you sure that what you have isn't pieced together?

T14 with a D20 would be from a Commando

I should add that CJ's 72-75 could have a T14/D20 but of course wouldn't have the adapter for the 225 v6.

 

Yep, Jeepster Commando. '68ish-70.
The '71 model had no adapter (one-piece bellhousing) and of course '72-73 came with the AMC sixes.

 

Of course, it's also possible that someone installed a D20 into a CJ, the 18 and 20 transfer case have the same bolt pattern.
Does your transfer case have a U shaped shift pattern or straight line?

 

Must be U shaped, it is not the in line like '70 CJ5.
