I had an odd thought. Instead of replacing my entire windshield frame, wipers, glass, etc., do you think it would be possible to add metal beneath the old W/S and essentially RAISE the windshield? Seems like it could be easy—on paper…:watch:

You wouldn't be able to put a top on it, if that's a concern.

Exactly! It would be too tall.

    More problems -
More frontal area -> even worse aerodynamics, if that's possible.
Higher COG with a hard top, already an issue with the steel cabs.

Okay. Thanks for the input. I was just looking it over and it would be a pain. Cheap man pays the most!

I think it would be fine, that jeep went around the world with a v6 and a lot of extra weight after all. You could tell something was off about the windshield but it took me a while to see the fillers.

In 2009 I drove my f-134 1000 miles on the interstate with a bike on the roof and a snowplow in a trailer. It wasn't easy for the f-134 even with 5.38 gears.

I wonder if this type of door helps with the center of gravity issue.

My doors are really heavy. The fiberglass roof is light.

Those doors do look heavy, I figured they are.
