Hi - are you changing the steering gear too, say to Saginaw steering?
The big black wheel ("bus wheel") provides extra leverage that you may miss if you keep the original steering gear.
    Especially with wider tires.

Check out Grant steering wheels. They have a 3-spoke aluminum with black grip. Looks classy. I’ll dig up a pic… Lots to chose from on, of all places….Amazon!

Grant 4405 is the adapter for the stock column to an old school 3 bolt aftermarket steering wheel.
Be forewarned that the stock steering wheels are a :censored: to remove!
Also, if your stock wheel is in good shape, someone here will want it!

I use an inexpensive (less than $40) puller from Harbor freight that has worked for me on some very stuck on steering wheels.

Joe DeYoung makes a higher quality, higher priced, puller that will remove the wheel without damage. Even though I have the HF puller that works, I keep thinking about buying one of his. I have bought some of the special purpose tools he makes and they are very well designed, very well made.

I made my own puller. Took several attempts to come up with something that works but eventually I got it.

Didn't know anyone made an adapter for our columns. Thanks for posting it.
