Yeah, everything I see looks like AMC era 76-83
Probably got titled as an older Jeep due to smog laws.

Perhaps they put a later body on an early frame/firewall/vin tag to skirt around emission laws?

 

Looks more like an early VIN tag on a later everything else.

 

Trying to sell a Jeep for 18k without a title. GENIUS.

 

The add says it is titled under his name and registration is up to date..

This is not mine btw. I wouldn't kick it out of the garage if it was though. Still a good looking rig. Im more curious as to what the ties are to Boyd Coddington. He's well known for hot rod restorations and mods, not jeeps.

 

I don’t see a single item on this Jeep from 1969; body, frame, suspension, engine/transmission. “Was upgraded with a lot of newer style Jeep parts” is an understatement. The whole Jeep is a later Jeep, 1976+. I don’t even see the serial number plate.
Otherwise, a nice looking Jeep, just not what its advertised to be.

This one has been out there for sale for a couple of months, first saw it after I bought my '75 in February.

 

He simply has a title that has nothing whatsoever to do with the advertised Jeep.

 

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s perfectly legal if the powers that be who say things are legal say it’s legal.

 

Until you get in anything more than a fender bender and your insurance company doesn't cover it because their 19 year old intern with an iphone figured out that your Jeep isn't what you insured.
