Over the weekend finally got the old/new girl running and sanded and repainted the roll cage. Overall ended up pretty nice. The engine needs timing and a bit of fine tuning to the carb but started up on first few tries and everything so im pretty happy.

Got another big step over the weekend, Painted the underbody and set it back onto the frame! seats and cage set in just for storage in the garage but its looking better than ever!
Still got a bit to do under the body before its fully bolted back down but not far to go!

    Hey,
Been plugging away when I can, Kiddo got bilateral pneumonia so was MIA on the project for a few weekends.
But got the brake lines built, proportioning valve in, brakes bled, drag link rebuilt, exhaust in and wrapped, Part of the bodies holes welded (drivers side only), body fully mounted, interior sanded and ready for paint this weekend or next (depending on weather). We had the engine running multiple times, found a couple leaks and issues, ran a spacer for the carb, was noticing we were getting vaper lock. a few coolant leaks here and there that were easily fixed. Got to redo the oil pan seal, but waiting on this wind here in SoCal to stop before we do that. Otherwise I plan on doing all the fluids this weekend, (trans, both pumpkins, and oil weather permitting)

well, doing the fluids this weekend (other than redoing the oil pan gasket due to wind) found this nice gem... Rear Diff was oilless and super clean, no signs of oil. We are thinking my grandpa (original owner) was rebuilding it or fixing something and just never got back to filling it before he passed. These photos are when it was opened and no cleaning etc. I dont see any shavings or any damage so fingers crossed!
