Anyone have a picture of original high back seats in a 72-75 CJ5 ?

I am parting out an older Jeep that has a set of high back seats that look like what I have seen in these, and if these are genuine Jeep seats someone may want them.

As far as I know the intermediates never came with high back seats, not even a headrest. When I worked at the dealership during that time I can never remember ever seeing any. Often people would install high back after market seats of other manufactures, could be what you have.

Some later models, maybe the CJ7 came with a high back seat that would be ''jeep original". Could be some of those some has swaped in. I am just not as familiar with the 76 and up CJ's.

I am not familiar with Jeeps beyond 1950, except for the 67 CJ5 I have now, so I just don't know what these are. The Jeep has a 72 or later hood on it, so I was assuming these seats might have came from the same donor.

I have them sitting out by the road with a "Free" sign, because I have no use for them, but thought I would ask, in case someone needed something like this. I'll take a picture tomorrow if nobody picks them up.

High back seats were not stock on Intermediates.

So the hood is about 4” longer than the fenders and hangs way out over the front of the grill? Have a picture of that? That would be interesting.

    72-up hood won't fit a 67, it's several inches longer.

Not exactly sure but I was thinking all the cj5 hoods 55 thru 71 will be about the same and should interchange. And the 72 (4 inches longer)and up would be the same,

I was having a senior moment. The hood is probably 69 - 71. It is the short hood, but has the windshield support hoops on the hood instead of the top of the windshield.

I have original cj highbacks, probably from a later model 5 or 7. They don't look like what you pictured but maybe yours had been recovered and stuffed at some point. I was interested until I saw the pics. I blew my drivers seat apart on those nasty trails in CO 2 years ago.
