I don't know much about later CJ-5s so I'm wondering what you all think about this Jeep. The seller doesn't know much about what work was done on it besides the text in the ad. I was looking for a Jeep more highway drivable than my 67 Dauntless.
I'm curious about a few things. Does the steering look close to stock or is that look modified? How about the brake master cylinder? Seller doesn't know what transmission it has. Does the shifter look out of place or could that be a stock setup? Does the 350 look like a garden variety 350 swap? Unfortunately there's no good photos of the underside to speak of.
I'm way out of my comfort zone on this one and was looking for some input.

Looks pretty legit. Probably T150 tranny. Slightly crusty under check out the frame rails in the back and how the cage is supported ( easily enough fixed up if not frame tied) Corporate 20 weak link vacated with the 9", I'd probably be dead from lack of fear of scattering the rear.

For the pitman arm to drag link connection it looks like they are using a heim joint in single shear, which I’m not a huge fan of. Can’t see what they’re doing for tie rod ends and such out at the knuckles. If your goal is better hi-way manners, I’d probably be looking for the extra wheel base of a CJ7 or similar.
