I couldn't afford to even put tires on one. A man has to know his limits.

 

a friend bought one surplus.. Hated it.. Just too dang wide, made it useless for a trail rig.

 

Spent enough time in one to know I don't need one in my life. I am, however, surprised at how expensive they're listed for. Used to be able to get them for $1500 all day long

 

If you are after one, you need to make sure it is complete. Finding part$ is ea$y. Paying for them - not $o much.....

 

If I never have to ride in one again, it will be too damn soon!

 

I pulled a couple high centered ones off mounds with my old Scout Terra…

 

I've just never had any particular desire to own one, ex-military or otherwise.

 

I hate big vehicles. And diesels. But I still want one. Even if its just for a year or two

 

Spent too much time in one including plowing snow - now step back to the predecessor M10XX Series Blazer or K30 Chevy trucks and I take one all day long. Kick myself in the butt for selling my M1009.

 

I'd rather have a military blazer or K30. Those are way easier to get parts for. Military specific stuff is just strange.

Its because the Hemi RT I drove today blew the doors off of them from multiple states over..

 

The only Chevy Warthog (page 5) is some really big money for a surplus vehicle at $35K. I’ve never seen one of these ever, so know nothing about them, except the look bad-a$$. I didn’t know Chevy, or even GM built these things. Looks like it still has most of the machine gun gimbal, and I don’t think that is a ray gun on there. It looks like it could be a fast vehicle compared to a humvee.

Edit: Looking at this a bit more, it appears to be a movie prop vehicle. A Chevy 454? Any military vehicle would be diesel. The suspension isn’t heavy or protected well enough to be a legitimate military vehicle, plus, the background where it is looks like a fab shop.

That warthog thing must be some sort of training or recruitment tool that they took to fairs and high schools.
If you look at the suspension..... it is welded solid.

Yes, I looked closer and there is no suspension. Even the rear leaf springs have solid brackets from the axle welded to the chassis. What a joke!
