Pardon the mess but this is my dads old Jeepster Commando he’s had laying around for years. It sat in a barn for 20 years and then we moved to the garage where it’s sat for another few. I Want to clean it up but before that I just want to know what kind of package and trim it was. I can’t find any pictures of Jeepesters with the kind of stripes it has and I’m not sure if the long antenna and rear work light came with it or was after market. It also looks like it could have Hurst parts. Anyways if anyways has any info telling me what this is it would be much appreciated. [IMG]

I'm not a Commando guy, but my brother is. Call Sam, he will know. And he has anything you might need, and he has a Hurst, and is familiar with them.

Stripes, lights, and antenna are aftermarket. The shifter is what intrigues me....that, and that patch on the hood.

X2. I believe all Hursts were white, but had red/blue stripes over the cowl. Hursts had a wide low fiberglass hood scoop with a tach built in. Nothing tells me this is a true Hurst except the console shifter, but those could be purchased across the parts counter back in the day. I have no idea what the plate/wedge (under hood) is. There is sometimes a yellow number scribbled on the firewall, near the battery, on Hursts.
Yes, the stripes, antennas, worklight, and wagon wheels are all vintage accessories.
Overall, this looks like a pretty clean rust-free low mileage Commando. That should be a 225 Dauntless V6 with a Turbo 400 automatic.

The hardtop with rack, dual gate shifter, and hood with all the holes from the scoop tell me at least those parts were hurst. I took hundreds of pictures of mine before I sold it. Now I just need to find them.
