I am getting down to putting a gas pedal in the Jeep. I have a YJ pedal but it is not going to work. I did not have. factory 2A pedal when i got the Jeep. I would like to use a cable because of issues i had years ago with solid linkage to the carb. If you have any pictures of gas pedal setups for your 225 V6 swapped Flatty, I would like to see them to give me some inspiration.

I can snap a picture tomorrow. I used the pedal assembly (reworked some) from the Nissan Frontier that donated the clutch and brake pedals to my flatfender. I used a Lokar cable to the carb from there. Smooth as silk.

I've got drawings for the hanging buick throttle found on a cj5. Biggest issue is having the correct foot to butterfly ratio.

The shop made an extra firewall bracket when I had mine made so send a pm if you need the pdf drawings dxf for the plate to be cut local or my extra firewall plate (cost of shipping) the upper arm will vary by carburetor.

I absolutely hated that hanging pedal in my CJ5. Just about impossible to keep an even throttle in the rocks with those. The floor hinged versions are vastly superior. I made a slotted bell crank that mounts to the firewall for my 3B-the slot so you can adjust the "throw". The bottom arm of that bell crank sports a delrin roller that is caged on the bottom of the pedal.

The pedal hinge has oilite bushings in it.

It uses a 1/4" solid aluminum rod/heim joints to connect to the throttle body.

A lot of fooling around maybe but it works better than any stock arrangement I ever used. Food for thought.

I used a firewall mounted pedal from an FSJ with a Lokar throttle cable. It looks natural and works really well. I'll get some photos tomorrow.

Here's mine. The throttle cable is really short, which kinda worried me but so far no issues.

Here is the Ebay gas pedal. It actually fits nice. BUT I need to lower it down a bit more .
A little awkward for the foot position as is, but it is pretty clean looking. On the the other side is a bracket that the cable bolts to and then to the pedal arm.

PO had installed a cable throttle set up, but it wasn’t quite finished. There was no pedal; you just stepped on the metal pivot arm. I added a skateboard bearing to the end of the arm, and an omix gas pedal to give it more of a stock appearance. I don’t have any great pictures of how it connects to the carb, but here are some pics of the pedal:
