2a Dash Panel

Does anyone know of a blank over lay dash panel for a 2A? no holes.

 

It may be that Double D Fabrication can / will make the part you need.

Be patient. I think this is his second job and sometimes it takes days.

My (slightly custom) dash is currently being fabricated by him. So far I am VERY satisfied and can tell he is exceptionally qualified.

The ETA for my dash is two weeks out.

 

Post pics of your dash. I simply want a blank flat dash panel including eliminating the cut out for the steering column.

The only renderings I currently have are the CAD PDF documents provided by Double D. Those are copyright proprietary to the vendor, not appropriate for sharing online. They are IDEAL for the customer to understand the design prior to placing the order. There was additional detail I wanted showing close up on specific locations and that was provided prior to ordering.

In my case the dash is not flat. Mine has the small OEM bent over side edges. Mine also has ~1" bent over tabs at the glove box opening, plus welded "C" channel reinforcements at the heater controls and along the bottom edge. Both reinforcement channels have complex secondary machining features prior to attachment.

There are also threaded studs in the four corners at both speakers and a threaded stud above the radio, for the rear reinforcement strap.

 

It would seem to me any sheet metal shop could make that, probably way cheaper than a custom job plus shipping. Just make a cardboard pattern and get an estimate. The only bend would be at the bottom. I made an overlay similar to that when I was building the glass tub on my 3B.
