Hi Eddy, Not sure if these are the correct ones for your jeep, not sure what they are for, They came with a 62 cj5 I recently acquired but the po said they were the wrong ones for my jeep. maybe research the Auburn gear tech info using the part number in the add. Like it says in the add they are new in the box and are around $400 new

Looking at the Summit website these fit up to 1970 jeeps, so I would say they are not going to fit yours unless it has a rear axle that was manufactured in 1970 or something has been swapped

FWIW....I've had an AuburnGear LS differential in my '67 for the past 8 years or so (model AG 5420112-HP). I've been real pleased with it - it locks in nicely when there's any wheel spin off-road, but drives and corners fine on pavement, too.

Eddy, You likely have a flanged axle in your ‘71, and if thats the case, that will have a 30 spline axle.
Look at the end of your axle (showing in the center hole of your wheel) to see which style axle you have. The earlier 2-piece axle (19 spline) has a small 1 3/4” dust cap covering a large nut, and the flanged axle has forged flat end with a recess.

Eddy, if your rear axle looks like this where the tire mounts, this won't work for you
    Flanged axle end:

When you say 19 teeth do you mean 19 spline side gears for 19 spline axle shafts?

If you have 59 axles, I don't know if these are correct for your application

Thanks C-dubb, I hope someone can use them, I might just have to find the right axle to use them in myself, but then I would still have 3 extra!

Isn't the 19 spline D44 the most common (by far!) version of the D44 for early jeeps/willys (and maybe IH and what not?)

not sure FinoCJ, from my very limited research only a 4 year span of application, but you are correct, It would be applicable to several other manufacturers differentials

Others can correct, but I thought pretty much all the willys D44 axles starting around 1950 were 19spline? In other words, its a lot larger year range than you specify...and maybe that is why there isn't much interest is there is some confusion about the application? Maybe others can chime in....
