I have this reproduction windshield frame I am about to mount after I get the glass installed and there are a lot of holes that were not on the busted frame I had. For example, I would like to know what are these for?

I think those two holes are for a bracket for the rods that connect to the forward top bow. I have a frame with the brackets still attached down in the barn, I will try to go down tomorrow to look at it and take a picture.

I recognise that frame! Yes, those two holes are for an angle bracket for attaching the round doortop bars used with a soft top.

One of my CJ5 frames is missing the brackets but had eye bolts installed for attaching the rods which works well enough.

I guess I will close them with some bolts and nuts, then?

The repro frame I had was a weird mix of civvy & military holes, none of them quite in the right spots.

X2, on the plastic rod brackets. If I remember correctly from my days of working at the Jeep dealer back in early 70's the original tops were made by Whitco and they used an eye bolt to hold the top support rod ,it had little 90 degree bend to fit in it. The later replacement tops used the plastic socket for a straight rod.
