My family was deep into IH's. I had two scouts, grand dad two pickups and an absolutely gorgeous 74 Travelall.
My first wheeler was a 66 Scout.
4 cylinder 4 speed, dual tanks, Powr Lok's front and rear.
The oil bath air filter would fall off the carb in the rough stuff and land on the exhaust manifold. Nice cloud of smoke!
We used to pull the top in the fall and skip school to go bird hunting in it.

    Man I miss those days........

I had a number of Scouts over the years. Good trucks. I should dig up some pictures. My last was one I put a Kentrol glass body on. Spring over on 35s. Lock rights in both ends. 345/T18/20/44/60. Sold it to a friend who was really nuts for it. He still has it, now with a 392. I built him a really strong 392 that he sank in water and ruined. I think he bent a rod and silted up the engine. Then he had his uncle's friend build a different 392. It's very noisy, no oil pressure, gutless. Not sure what the other guy did but the tolerances must be terrible or a cam bearing is not aligned correctly...oh well, enough rambling.

Nice Scout Ryan, they were solid, cheap fun back in the day!
