ok..so I have a full set (5) of stock 16" rims for my cj2a...I also have a full set of 15" rims from an old cj5.....so...I know asthetically there are minor differences, but what do you guys think in regards to rims size versus tire size..in your opinions go with 15" and a modern tire size..no tubes, etc..or go 16" etc.....thanks

You will more than likely have to run tubes with whichever you choose, the old-style rims are no known for holding air very well.

I have 15" rims on my 64 cj, and have 225 tubeless
on them. So far no problem with them,. They ride good
and give good traction on hard-surface also.

My 15" wheels on my 3A look like 16"ers. I like the looks of them better. I haven't priced out tires yet, but I would imagine the 15" ones are less expensive than 16" tires.

Go 16's since you have them, they look the best.

15 years ago I might have said 15's, buy anymore that limits your tire options. 16's will give you more choices now. Go with the 16's IMO.

No problems running tubeless on my stock 1960 15s - but, I don't air them down, just steady 30 psi or so.
