You could paint it the Stroppe colors ...

    StroppeBronco (600 x 335).jpg

or one of the original colors ...

One of my pet peeves...watch cars driving down the road and you'll see gray, tan, white, gold, grey, tan...you get the idea. BO-ring!
I like bright colored cars (like my Viper red CJ5 & my race red Mustang GT :D )!

Darn, it's been really cold! 40 is cold to me! I spent a little time working on one vent window and it's still eating me up! grr

I've been wearing flight suits in the garage for a long time, but found this work suit on ebay (from Austria), it was only like 60 bucks with 28 shipping. Got here relatively quick. It's kind of large for a medium, but's roomy for bending, but not flattering as makes me look flat chested, which I'm not! But who looks at me when I'm working in the garage anyway~ ok, my husband does! lol I may order a small to see if it's a little better, but I'll wear this one for a little while. However, I could have it taken up here and there to be a little more flattering;)

If you really want to depress yourself, just pick a random manufacturer, go to their website, and pick a car, and look at the colours available.

Hi, yeah, I'm still here;) I'm kind of finished with my vent windows, I had bought the incorrect thickness glass setting tape, I needed 1/16". So, wrapped that up today;)

The pivot thing had Philip screws and they just didn't seem to work, so I used rivets which seemed to really tighten up the attachment.

Now crappy weather is moving back in~ I may just spend part of the next few days in my workout room, need to work on myself too! ;)

Working on the underneath in prep for painting it, seam sealing, sanding, por15 on the rusty spots. The rotisserie makes this soooo easy!;)

I can hear you guys right now about the color, but Gary and I both agreed the sublime green is a crazy brilliant color, and my gosh, it sprays on so nicely! Looking forward to getting to the doors, and remaining body parts~ a lot left to do!!

ps: there's a fellow Bronco owner which lives pretty close~ he was asking if I would paint his bronco, not near the complexity. If I were busy with my own project, I would consider it, but not for money. Just curious what you guys might say;) ?

Amazing work. I can't believe how much of the body you ended up replacing.

I know how much you wanted to be a particular color, but I assure you it will be an awesome looking Bronco, one of a kind as far as looks go. The color will be broken up with mild graphics in matt black, rocker, the hood I may even matt black it out, but I'm not there yet;)

The stuff is like water, cover the floor if you want to keep it clean. With it being like water it will go into small/thin openings. I put a couple of coats on everything.

Hi gang upload_2022-3-12_18-29-47.gif Went to a local swap meet to meet the owner of www.Hotrodwires.com and bought the wiring harness I'll be using. I've used the same system for 4 different vehicles with great success plus Bill(the owner) is great for advice and troubleshooting.
Then came home and removed the body from the rotisserie and put the body back on the frame and tightned all the body bolts. I'll re-install the doors, windshield frame, metal dash to visualize colors, hopefully tomorrow.
My thoughts are: Parchment seats on stock Bronco seats, black or gray carpet, door insides and dash will be a Champagne color to compliment the seat color. Forest green metallic will be used on the outer part of the windshield frame, champagne on the inner windshield frame. Forest green will be put on the bump of the funky hood with a pinstripe around it. The Forest green is quite dark especially in the evening, but in the sun is beautiful and has a very nice shimmer. There will be rocker stripes, and possibly a decal of a bronco on the rear of the bed, or, a Raptor scene(since Raptors are coming out now on the new broncos). All subject to change at my discretion upload_2022-3-12_18-29-47.gif

Gary wants black interior, but we have black interior on some many cars!! no more black interior for now.

hm, let me see, I took the seat frames and rear seat frame(after disassembly), metal dash, and other odds n ends to the blaster yesterday and they are ready, just need to fetch 'em;) So tomorrows agenda is pick up sandblasted parts, go buy the paint/s. Then continue on the front fenders. When welding the holes shut, kind of a bear to get those areas smooth, but I'm getting it done.

So, again: Sublime on the body, metallic beige/champne color on the inner doors and dash, Forest green metalic on the outer windshield frames with metallic beige on the inner(will look nice against the parchment seats), and either black or dark gray carpet~ should look plushy, then I'll be making my own door inserts and be panel inserts. To buy are just outrageously expensive. uh, that should fill tomorrows day up~ I'm rather anxious to spray paint.

That back bar thing isn't supposed to be there;)

I have 3 3m accuspray paint guns, they're pricey, but save time, not so much in the money dept.

The front fenders though factory, were kind of rusty on the undersides, so I hit the underneath with 80 grit da, washed, then applied por15. I found that por15 reacts to epoxy primer, I hope when the por cures it won't react. You know how some drips through holes onto the other side? That por is hard to sand down too! grrrr
