I got the brass for this a couple years ago but found out i didnt have the tools to finish it...

Had some time to kill at work last week so finished milling it square and milling out the hole for the handle.
Weighs in at 1 lb, 13.7 oz

I have a small ball peen hammer with a brass head (about 12oz) I made when I worked in a machine shop years ago. most usefull too in my too box, use it almost every week for tapping on things like bearing races and gears and so on.

This is my go to Hammer; a couple pound rawhide piece I inherited from my grandpa. It does a fantastic job breaking things loose without doing any damage I use it all the time:

that's how we all envision ourselves when wielding a hammer, even if it's nothing like mjolnir
