There is a mention of unlimited miles now too, but I didn't ask about the pricing for that option. There might be other benchmarks above 5k before hitting unlimited.

I contacted American Collectors through USAA and one thing they mentioned to me was that if the Jeep was ever going to be used on a "trail" or "off road" they would not provide insurance for me at all. I don't plan on rock crawling, doing the Rubicon, or anything like that, but I can imagine myself traveling on some "off road trails" so this could be problematic.

I have Hagerty. Full coverage and roadside assistance. They didn't ask many questions, besides, it's only used for parades. :D

We Insure with SAFECO and I went to our agent and told them I wanted no less then 10,000 miles a year, 20,000 agreed value, The same collision ($500 deductible) as we have on our other cars same comprehensive It would be kept in a locked garage. Cost was $592.00 a year. Might seam like a lot compared to some of the restricted collector insurance co. But its on par with my 98 Dakota and I wanted real full coverage.

Prior to upgrading I had a policy with no collision that was like $177 a year to cover the project.

Anyone use Grundy for their Jeep? I just tried Hagerty and they turned me down because the Jeep might be used on “two-tracks” and hillclimbs. The lady at Hagerty got pretty in-depth in regard to springs/lift, tire size, etc.

That's interesting. I have had Hagerty on two units and they did not question me much and insured both. I currently have Hagerty on my M151A1.

Yeah, I was surprised. This particular lady was asking all sorts of questions and details and then denied me.
