I think it is about time for me to rebuild my carb (acting like the float is stuck), been about 15 years sense the last rebuild. Have done it for 4 or 5 times over the last 50 years, its still the original carb (V6- 2G carb). I noticed it is starting to leak around the throttle bushings. On all my rebuilds I have never had to mess with these busing and so know nothing about replacing them. Can these bushing replacement be done by a normal person or do they have to be done by a carb shop or somebody like that? Have not taken the carb off yet and so do not remember if there are even bushing in the carb or just drilled holes and if just drilled holes in order to fix the problem the carb has to be drilled out and bushing installed. Are they a common item to get from a flaps? Tried a forum search but came up with nothing, but admit I am not that great in knowing just what terms to use in a search.
    Thanks
    Mike

When you say leaking, do you mean it's a vacuum leak or is there fuel leaking out?

I think just fuel but do not know yet about vacuum. And I presume the fuel is because the float is stuck and fuel is running down the carb throat hitting the rod and running out. So I am thinking that if it can leak fuel it can also vacuum leak maybe?
