WTB M38 Or M38a1 Dash Panel

I am looking for a good dash panel that uses the 4 fasteners in the corner for an M38 or A1. I don't need the gauges but everything else needs to be there. No extra holes please.

I saw those on ebay , but I couldn't find the retainers to hold the black out lights in place.

 

I bought that exact same panel from that same seller. Mine had a couple issues - slightly warped (which can be fixed) and the screwholes for one of the blackout lights are at a slight angle (the holes should be at 12:00 and 6:00, but they’re at 11:30 and 5:30 if that makes sense).

 

I suspect that John at Midwest Military would have all of the stuff you're looking for. WWII Military Vehicles, Parts and Accessories, Prior Lake, Minnesota, USA He's got a lot more stuff that what's on his website, so I'd give him a call to be sure.

 

The C&C dash panels are re-pops, I suspect made by MDJuan. They will probablty work, but OEM used ones are pretty common on eBay.
I've purchased the dzus screws new from Midwest Military, OEM of course.

The dash on my 67 CJ5 has been hacked up for extra gauges and other add ons. I have been thinking of using a M38A1 panel to make a custom dash out of it, mainly because I have a good set of military gauges and a speedometer.

I do have a unmolested CJ5 dash from my parts Jeep, and will use that IF I can find a decent instrument cluster. I do not want one of the Omix units have read too many bad reviews of those. The one in my Jeep has some issues, the speedometer may work, but the gauges do not and the face is very faded.

 

I saw a M38A1 Dash at G503 open house last weekend, you can Email Ron Fitzpatrick about it. I bet it would be fairly cheep. Let him know it was out in the back by the Mighty Mites and M38A1 out back.

for the screws not fitting... It's been a while since I had my M38, but aren't the "clips" that the screws twist into concave? Could the 4 clips be in backwards not allowing the screws to engage?

 

In looking at the pics of the part, my memory must have failed, but I do recall that they can get wonky if not installed properly in the dash itself.

 

Don that is what I am looking for, do you know a source for the 2 lights and the mounts for them that use the 2 bolts to secure them. Also a price?
