So I've finally had it with with miss-matched wrenches and 7/16" & 10mm's literally disappearing before my eyes leaving incomplete sets garbaging up the benches, wall holders & cabinet drawers.

I bit the bullet &, after doing some on-line review research, ordered the Milwaukee 15 piece SAE & metric sets from Home Despot. They showed up yesterday so I spent some time today admiring them :)

I must say they do fit nicely in the drawer-

I did a little comparison to some of the existing collection, they're a bit longer than most. I can't say the fitment on nuts is really any better than some of my other examples but they are as good as any I have.

Unfortunately as pretty as they look in the drawer I find they are more convenient hanging up above a bench.

I do like the paint filled numbers, red for SAE & black for metric; that will make finding the right one in the inevitable pile a lot easier :)

Don't talk to me about allen wrenches, I've got a couple hundred all piled into a basket that need sorting out & none of them seem to be marked. I'm avoiding them like the plague- black, not covid :(

Allen wrenches, these are what you need
These are Bondhus, I use these everyday at work and have for the entire of my working career of 40 years. All molds and dies are put together with socket head cap screws.

absolutely. just reach up and grab one, then set it down on the bench where it's gonna sit for the next two months, at least in my experience.

I'm really curious to hear how you like these in the long run.
I've been using 60s Craftsman wrenches and 40s-70s Snap-On at Home, but I keep looking at these every time I'm at the store.

My guess is the Milwaukee versions are chinese like just about everything else these days. Keep the 60's Craftsman!! The 60's-70's were Craftsman's high point when the were made by Moore and Easco. While I applaud a neat wall display, that takes more wall space than I'm willing to give up.

Oh I'm keeping it all! I use pretty much exclusively newer Snap On and Gearwrench at work, but I can't help but be curious about those Milwaukee wrenches for home, or maybe just as something to keep under the seat.

I've had a chance to use them a bit now, I won't say I'm fantastically elated to use them and I won't say I'm even mildly disappointed- they're wrenches & they work very well as a wrench. They are at least as good as or even a touch better than the higher end stuff I have in my motley mess of miss-matched nut manglers- on par with the lone example of a Snap-on in the pile. Not a super tight fit in my estimation but again as good as my better examples although I did bump into one nut that the Millwaukie wouldn't go over but a mangler pile one did, I'm assuming the nut is a slightly out of spec alumni the the local hardware store bargain bin.

The only thing that I'm having a problem with is the angle on the box end- it's a bit more than I'm used to which means they never slip over the nut until I wake up & flip the wrench up a bit, not sure why they did this but I'm sure there's a reason for it; I will eventually adjust to it.
