Replacing the OEM 50 year old leaking valve cover gaskets. I have searched the interweb and cannot find a definitive torque spec. 50 inch pounds has come up a few times and a lot of just crank er down with a 1/4" nut driver till tight. Anyone in the know?

Yep, use a nut driver. I would guess that's in the range of 50 in-lbs.

I used a inch/lb torque wrench and 1/4" drive. 50 Inch/lbs aint much. Pass side done. PITA. Driver side tomorrow maybe..
