You don't use a ballast resistor with HEI. Plug wires should be 8MM due high energy spark. The coil is a specific coil for the HEI cap. Coil needs to be buick odd fire specific. HTH

So I can bypass the resister, but I’ll need a new coil and wires. I presume I can use the coil And wires for the ‘75 Skylark.

Thanks. I figured that part out as I was doing a deep dive on the installation pages. On the autozone pages the pics were of a square coil and when I got on a proper computer with a good monitor I could see the cap properly with an obvious place for the coil. Aha moment...

Ordered all 3 Friday, should be here Thursday, hope to have my Jeep on the road Friday.
