I’m moving the winch controller to under hood

in hopes of gaining better air movement thru the radiator, but I’m not mounting it down yet until I decide on a replacement compressor.
My oba took a dump on me.
Notice the huge difference in rod bore vs crankshaft dia?

Looks like you may need a .020 undersize rod bearing,:study:,:).

Thought about selling it again, might depending on how this job hunt goes.

The 1210 is going to be on the chopping block once I move it for pictures.

Changed the ignition module in the 3B, 231 even fire with electronic ignition. This is the 3rd or 4th module in 3-4yrs. Always fails in the shop at home, thank goodness, but why?
I would figure heat or voltage to be the enemy here but no issues with anything else on the jeep.
    Any thoughts?
    Edit,
I’m using the AC Delco, D1906 module

I have battery to engine block, and battery to body. I might be missing one to the frame.

T90 got stuck in first gear. Pulled the shift tower and twisted the cane and it seemed to pop back into the correct alignment. Shifts better than ever now

    Picture is before cleaning sufaces

    I need taller jack stands!!

Apparently this is the new way to wash your Jeep before a trip.

It sure is easier to grease everything and check for frame cracks.

And I washed the back side of my wheels/tires for the first time ever!

Cleaned the underside, checked for cracks, painted wheel wells, washed the paint, cleaned the windows, checked oils.

Jeff and I leave tomorrow for Colorado. We’ll stay a few days, tear up some **** and then leave the trailer and Jeep in Buena Vista until Cynthia and I head back in a few weeks.

Started to repair the Commando today, removed fender, bumper and filler panel.

Also took that wheel from the Commando and bolted it on the CJ, and spun it. Wheel is bent :(

Hood, grille and tub look ok. Don't see any frame damage.

Took the hard top of the Jeep for the first time that i have owned it

there was a lot of silicone, had to get a little creative. I am guessing the top has never been off since it was installed.
Next is to get a bikini top for it, probably just a Bestop unless someone else has a better recommendation

Got most of the tire carrier/bumper tacked up. I don’t really like the wrap around but feel it’s necessary for body protection. Now trying to fit and 81 tire carrier bracket into it.

Welded out he rear bumper/tire carrier. Thinking about mounting a high lift on there but being out of the off-road world for 20 years are these still the go to tool? Is there something newer, better, lighter?
