I jacked up the front and spun the tires. My front disc pads are clicking during the tire revolutions on both sides. If I apply the brakes the sound goes away. It doesn't seem to start until after things heat up (driving a bit). It's also in unison ???

    Focker scratches head.

Typically if you have noise from the front wheels and it goes away under braking the bearings are in need of attention. The noise goes away when the brakes are applied because it takes some of the stress off of the bearings. I have been wrong before and this is no different, but I would just make sure they are packed with grease and have proper preload. Could also be out of tolerance disk too. Could be that your radio isn't loud enough as well.

When I jacked it up, I could wiggle the brake pads by hand.

Mine do that too, occasionally. Chevy anti-rattle clips. In a normal car you ears aren't 4 feet from the front wheel, with no top. That's what I think any way. Of course mine are S10 brakes, you have full size. I notice it most when driving next to a wall or fence that reflects the noise back.

Front fenders sanded, hood sanded, removable trans cover firewall panels sanded, ready for primer tomorrow if not too hot to spray.

Cut out some body rust and welded in, floated smooth with the grinding wheel. Welded on the front tabs for the frame cushions on the hat channels i had to make (have old tire for the cushions i need to make).

The rear end was leaking, so I pulled the cover and replaced the gasket with a new Lubelocker and put in fresh oil and limited slip additive. I had my limited slip rebuilt when I did my build and there were a lot of particles floating, (2500 miles).
I also changed the oil and filter on the new motor. Had 500 miles on it and looked really clean, cut apart the oil filter and checked it, also had very little in it. (y)(y)
I couldnt find any gear oil that was GL4, locally, so I ordered that online. When it comes in I'll change the transmission and transfer case oil. These were completely rebuilt and have about 2500 miles on them and need to changed to make sure they don't have any particles in them.
I can't believe how much oils and filters cost!

Oh, the Tractor Supply paint I used on the steering wheel a while ago has turned my drive into a sticky situation. Feels like a car from the junkyard. My wife Kim wrapped it in black vinyl strips for now. I think I will be looking for a new wheel. At least its not sticky now.
