I was going to mount a pintle hook for my m416 but a friend mocked me. I spent an hour, three cut off wheels and a 10" expander belt to chop this receiver out of a scrap bumper. I'll section my cross member 2x2 and weld it in.

The m416 will have to get converted from lunette to hitch.

I'm getting ready for the Run For the Hills Rally with the guys from the Old Willys Forum next week. We're going to Downieville for some 4x4 fun and found out that the nearest gas station is like 40 Miles from Downieville. They do have a Tesla charging station if any of the old Jeeps are electric.
I fabbed up and added another 5 gallon gas can mount on the back bumper to go with the two Side Gerry cans for a total of 30 Gallons. I hope that's enough..
One of my side Gerry cans sprung a leak last year and I replaced it with one that looks way better on the inside than it does on the outside.

Are those old seat belts you are using for your jerrycan tie downs?
    Great idea!

Today I reflected on how all the junk parts I used are failing. At this rate, the junker will eventually have all new parts. Ordered a set of chromoly shafts. Hope they hold up better than the stock shafts. I'll be welding on a new set of spring perches to fix my previous screw up and get rid of the shims. Also bought some zero rates since the winch made the front end droop. It was that or an add a leaf and I didn't want to alter the ride quality and make it worse.

Not much left there. Fhead is OP and needs a nerf. :p

    On my brother's CJ7

Finished up the carb rebuild yesterday and dropped it on this morning, replaced the plugs, wire, cap and rotor. Fired up and ran great. later in the day I replaced the radiator, hoses, belts, and fan clutch. Looks like part of the original shroud broke off and got munched between the radiator and fan which would explain the radiator damage. Got some smoke puffs on overrun. Thinking we may need some new valve stem seals.

don't trash that old radiator, someone could use that metal top and bottom. As far as I know you cannot buy them anywhere.

I replaced it with an all metal Summit Racing replacement but it's not as thick and feels more flimsy than the old one.

I wonder if you could buy a new core and reuse the original top and bottom caps? A radiator shop would have to do the assy work though. And the radiator shop would need to order the new core too probably. Hum, just thinking out loud. The radiator on my 74 is the factory original, it don't leak or anything but I wonder how reliable it might be, would hate for it to give up a long way from home after all it's 47 years old.

Problem is finding a real radiator shop anymore. They're like automotive electrical shops that would rebuild alternators and starters for you. They've become kind of rare

We still have a good reasonable priced auto electrical rebuilder in Auburn, Ca. But both the guys that run the place are in their late 60" early 70's and when they retire, there is no one to take over. It'll be a sad day to see it go.

A friend of mine was over last week checking out my Wagon with the Land Rover Discovery 2 axles, transfer case and 18" wheels with 35x12.50 MT's
He is an engineer with PG&E and ask why I still had the Rover center caps? A few days later I noticed one was missing.
He showed back up today as I was loading the wagon for the Run For the Hills Rally with the Old Willys Forum guys and returned the center cap
He then shows me a cap that he had Laser Printed with the Willys Overland emblem and wanted to see if it would fit.
He then pulls out a bag with 4 more and told me to shoot some paint on them to protect them from UV. Something about the sun eating up the palstic in a few years.
The last identifying Land Rover marks are now gone and the Willys emblem looks cool.

Rain and storms, the Jeep stays in the barn.
A visitor comes inside, it is the female cat which spent all winter 2019/2020 inside, there was no doors.
This cat was probably abandoned around, and stayed summer 2019 around, eating what ?
Then it approached our house, and was sleeping in the Jeep...
Slowly it came near the house, we started to feed it.
Indeed it/she was afraid of my shoes. We supposed that she was beaten, maybe belonging to a person who died, and the person in charge put it away.
It is a female, but cannot have babies, a luck for us... Probably a cat bought and having a surgery.
Now it stays home and my wife's friend.
We didn't want to have a new cat after the loss of our in Summer 2019, but...
