I'd like to see the rigs here where you bedlined the tub. Please include the following:

    1. Product name
    2. Whether it was sprayed or rolled
    3. How many coats you applied

    And as always . . . :uwop:

All of the spray 'bedliner' that I have seen goes on very thin, almost like simple undercoating sprays. My jeep came to me with a very thick... almost 1/8" thick, bedliner on it. I have no idea where it was done or what kind of a product it is, but it is very nice. I too need this info because I have to patch my current bedliner because of body repairs that I have done.

    U-POL Raptor liner..
tintable and UV resistant.. repairable and can add or subtract "grit" for areas you want more or less traction..

Very pleased with appearance and texture.. sound deadening is very good.. no comment on longevity since it brandy new.

Rejeep, is it just the picture or does the texture of the liner make your tub look fiberglassed?

I'll snap some more on the light or see if I have any more from when it was sprayed.
It's also not a stock tub, everything was smooth and perfect!

PO did that to inside of A1 tub, what a PITA! Plus, whatever he used is very coarse & abrasive, takes skin off hands, elbows, knees. I would not put bedliner on.

Most times you see pics the day the job is done - and it looks great. Heres what a Herculined interior looked like a couple years later:

I hated the stuff - always looked dirty and was impossible to get clean. It was rough - bruise your knuckles trying to get behind a seat or something.

I was way happier with a simple painted interior.

I believe it depends on the quality of the product used, combined with the application. The bed of my truck has had Line-X in it for over 8 years, sits outside with sun, snow, rain, mud, etc. It's been covered in elk blood, Barbary sheep blood, two cycle, gasoline, you name it, and it still looks like the day it was sprayed. I do agree with you that it can age poorly, but I believe it depends on the product itself.

Upol Raptor Liner. I used tintable in desert tan on the outside and black on the inside. I agree it is not for everyone. People who build their rigs to show don't like it, but if you are going to use it, I cant think of anything I'd rather have. Its probably almost impossible to remove if a later owner wants to go back to paint. Mine was sandblasted, etch primed, and then bedlinered. The whole jeep is bedlinered. I get compliments everywhere I go and everyone wants to feel it. You can see pics in my build.

Most bedliners can be removed with Jasco Epoxy Paint remover.

2 coats of black Monstaliner. It dries smooth so it doesn't hold dirt. Been over a year and it still looks like new.
