10si Alternator Pulley Movement..

    Is this normal end play? Or does it look like a bearing is going out?

    Use a stethoscope (or wood dowel to your ear, etc) against each end of the alternator. If a bearing is going bad, you'll be able to hear it grinding.

    Not normal. If the bearing is running smooth and no grumbling sounds then a spacer was left out under the fan and pulley when assembled.
