My accelerator pump looked fine. The needle/seat were sticking. Mine seemed fine after rebuild. May take carb back off and take it apart again.
I rebuilt mine about a month and a half ago for the same symptoms. It ran fine the few times that drove it. Started it several times too. Tried...
Just rebuilt the bell crank on my '62. Bought the socket for the end plug from Napa. 3/8" drive one worked ok. I am going to rebuild drag link too.
Thanks for the inflation info. I will try that.
I figured that was a decent street pressure. I haven't had it offroad yet. I will air them down more when offroad.
I like the spare tire mount on the rear of the Renegade too. I may do something similar to mine.
If it will hurt something in the trans then I will change it back to a GL4.
I have only put maybe 50 miles on mine since putting in the Napa stuff. I haven't noticed any difference in shifting yet. I seem to grind the...
I work at a Napa. I got everything there for my CJ5. It all fit nice with no mods. I had a leak in mine under the drivers seat. Plus it was bent...
I bought my '62 with a 2.5" Rough Country set. Very little flex. Ride is not bad though. Running 7.00x15 Power King tires at about 32 psi.
They were pretty simple to do. I imagine probably original.
Never thought of Sta-Lube brand.
Me too.
I have thought of maybe a soft top. It is fun running around without it though!
Trans and transfer case mounts done today. I need to do some degreasing and work on some oil leaks too.
I will see if I can get anything that is straight GL4 rated. I work at a Napa store myself!
I may get one. I don't use the heater. I have no top or doors, so I fail o see the point of buying it.
I used Napa 75-210. GL3,GL4 and GL5 API rated. Says it is for use in manual transmissions and axles. I think it was better than the 50 year old...
Mine too. Missing duct hose too!
I used Napa brand 80w90 in my axles , trans and transfer case. All seems ok. It seems to shift the same.
