I used a 1 inch lift shackle, worked B - U - Tee- Full !
I needed a Heater / defroster, I moved to Arizona , promblem solved !

Look under the dash and see if you have ignition wires that are shorting out on your pedel and associated parts. This happen to me also years ago.
