I have an oil pan, 2bbl intake manifold and t/stat housing off what I believe is a 225 marine engine.
Oil pan has a sending unit modification...
The only advantage I see is Herm trying to produce a "kit" that the average guy can install with out a lot of custom fab work being required.

The seat brackets shown on the seat are correct for the 74-75 model year CJs.
The difference between the axle ratios is so small I wouldn't worry about it off road.
It's much more important to have the engine/trans positioned properly on the frame.
Sounds like the engine mounts are already welded in place so...
For some reason the oil filter for a CJ 80-82 Pontiac Iron Puke(Duke) 151 seems stuck in my mind.
Just watch out for metric threads on the filters.
I know there are other oil filters that are much smaller in diameter that would work on V6's.

Hands down I would go automatic. T14 and it's cable clutch too finicky for me. Replacement parts maybe, but not high quality,
